A consistent top taste-test winner, the Arctic Jay nectarine offers an ideal balance of acidity and sweetness, resulting in a richly flavored fruit with firm, smooth flesh and a distinctive spicy finish. The Arctic Jay nectarine tree is a self-fruitful freestone variety that ripens in the early mid-season and is known for its exceptional adaptability, producing well in USDA zones 4 through 9. Its fruit features dark red-blushed skin covering about 80% of the surface, adding to its visual appeal. Vigorous and highly productive, the Arctic Jay nectarine tree yields large crops in regions where nectarines are commonly grown, though it may be susceptible to bacterial spot in areas where this disease is prevalent. A must-have for any nectarine enthusiast’s garden.
