Four O"Clock - Broken Colors (Heirloom) - Mirabilis jalapa
Perennial grown as Annual - A special variety whose starry 2 inch blossoms are beautifully splashed with showy contrasting colors. Their delicious jasmine fragrance floats on summer breezes. Easy to grow and reliable. Perennial grown as annual, summer/fall bloom, frost tender, and reaches a height of 2' - 3'.
Soil & Water: Start 4 week early indoors in seed starting mix or outdoors after frost in regular fine gardens soil. Keep soil moist until seed has germinated.
Planting & Growing:Poke seed 1/2" deep into soil and firm over. Space or thin to 12" apart. Flower heads will easily self-sow and become invasive so should be removed before drying if this is not desired.
