Chandler strawberries are a beloved California-developed variety prized for their exceptional flavor, bright red color, and abundant yields. This June-bearing type produces medium to large, firm berries with a perfect balance of sweetness and acidity—ideal for fresh eating, desserts, preserves, and freezing. Vigorous and semi-spreading, Chandler performs well across a wide range of climates, from cool coastal zones to warmer inland regions. With proper care, it provides a rich mid-season harvest of consistently high-quality fruit.
