Organic Raspberry ‘Caroline Red’ is an outstanding everbearing variety appreciated for its rich flavor, vigorous growth, and dependable late-summer productivity. Known for producing deep red, velvety-soft berries with exceptional sweetness, Caroline offers home gardeners and small growers consistently delicious harvests ideal for fresh eating or freezing. Plants thrive in full sun and fertile, well-draining soil, where organic compost and mulching help maintain moisture, nurture soil biology, and support long-term plant health. Even watering and routine maintenance contribute to steady fruiting throughout the warm season.

Highly productive canes reach about 5' tall and benefit from trellising or sturdy support due to their size and generous fruit load. As a primocane-bearing (everbearing) cultivar, ‘Caroline Red’ fruits on first-year canes beginning in late July and continuing into fall. Proper spacing, thoughtful pruning, and good airflow encourage resilient growth and reduce disease pressure, making this a strong choice for organic systems. With its reliable yields and excellent berry quality, Caroline is well suited for edible landscapes, u-pick gardens, and backyard berry patches.
